Walking in a winter wonderland

Blanketed in deep snow, the Upper Engadine’s fairytale landscape is just waiting for you to discover it on foot. All you can hear is the crunching of steps in the snow, and occasionally the screech of an owl or the call of an alpine chough. Enjoy the silence of nature and let your thoughts roam. Approximately 150 km of prepared winter walking trails are an invitation to the walker and hiker, among them the Philosophers’ Trail on Muottas Muragl, which provides spiritual nourishment in the form of the thoughts of famous philosophers, or the Segantini Path, which shows you the life and work of the world-famous painter from the Engadine.
