Good for the heart, good for the joints, good for the muscles: Nordic walking is a Scandinavian derivation of the summer training methods used by professional skiers and now a trendy sport popular across Europe. Nordic walking is brisk to fast, using poles that involve not only the legs but also chest, shoulder and arm muscles. Nordic walking exercises the cardio-vascular system while protecting the joints at the same time.
